Exactly one year ago, I had to undergo valve replacement surgery (open heart).  I just turned 50, was in the best shape of my life, fit, lean and working out with a personal trainer.   I felt great.  Then I was told I needed to have open heart surgery.  I said I think you have the wrong guy !!  They told me my aortic valve was birth defective and needed replacing.  They would have to crack me open, shut my heart down and replace the valve.  I have two teenage kids and was scared to death !! …See More
